🧃Western Suburbs Events: April 15th - 21st

Happy Tuesday, Westies.

Easter weekend is here – and so is the perfect excuse to make the most of Melbourne’s west.

Whether you're chasing Easter egg hunts, twilight markets, or just some quality time outdoors, there’s something happening in every corner of the west. From Altona to Melton, Seddon to Werribee, the region is buzzing with family-friendly fun, cultural gems, and plenty of activities to keep the kids busy (and off screens).

We’ve pulled together a guide to the best events this week – free and ticketed, big and small – so you can spend less time planning and more time enjoying the break.

Local Business Recommendation: Monzarella Mercato

This week’s recommendation is from me. If you have a business you would like to recommend, fill this form out.

I mentioned last week that I’m on parental leave, and I’ve been lapping it up. So for the next few weeks, I’m happy to share my food findings.

This week, we’ll look at Monzarella Mercato, the deli arm of the Monzarella restaurant in Williamstown.

I’d been to the Italian restaurant a few times, and it’s always been good. I’d noticed the deli open late last year, and it had been on my ‘must try’ list for a while.

I have gone in a few times for coffee on my morning walks, and in there I saw the panini menu. This week, I took mum, and bub to the deli for lunch.

It was so good, I went twice in a week (I have no shame).

I had the Cotoletta, my fiancé had the Parma. It’s all made fresh-to-order, and super tasty.

Price point is about $15 a panini depending on what you get - which, for the size (I didn’t need dinner that night), is pretty good. I think if you wanted a lighter lunch, two people could share one. Obviously, it’s not an every-day food, but well worth it.

If you’ve got anywhere in mind that’s worth checking out, you can reply to this email or even comment using the button below.

What’s on This Week

There’s plenty on this week. As you can imagine, being the first week of school holidays (how quick did that term go, by the way!) there’s plenty on to keep the kids busy.

On top of that, there’s plenty of events for all ages.
