Local Business Recommendation: Candied Bakery

I finally went to Candied Bakery in Spotswood this weekend. Actually… I went twice (I regret nothing).

I’d seen this place on Instagram a bunch recently, so thought I’d give it a try. We had a little bit of everything over the couple of visits. Everything was great. The pies were awesome, the sweet treats were perfect too. Strongly recommend the red velvet cake… I find red velvet too heavy most of the time, but this was light and fluffy.

The coffee was good too. I actually never thought I’d become a coffee snob (file me under “any caffeine is good caffeine”), but there’s so many great spots popping up in the west, I’m getting a little picky.

The place was packed too. Whatever they’re doing, it’s working. Although, even though it was really busy, we got our food quickly both days. Which, when you’ve got a baby with you, is key.

Obviously it’s a trip in itself, not too much foot traffic going around there, but well worth the trip.
